Dubai Chocolate in Singapore: 4 Kunafa Bars Made Here

Reviewed by Jim Ng · Editor-in-chief

Dubai chocolate is a thick filled bar: a chocolate shell around shredded kunafa (kataifi) pastry, toasted in butter and folded into pistachio cream. We looked for Singapore businesses that make their own Dubai-style bar and sell it now, on 14 October 2026, and found four. We list four rather than pad the guide.

Most Dubai chocolate on sale in Singapore is imported: the original Fix bars resold by specialist shops, and supermarket bars made in the UAE. Those are left out, because this guide is about bars made here, by businesses we could check on ACRA and on the Singapore Food Agency's register. Cakes, croissants and brownies with a kunafa filling are left out too.

Each business is scored on what it publishes: what it puts in writing about damaged or wrong orders weighs most, then its Google reviews, anything it gives free, and its food licence. Taste is personal, so we do not score it. Prices are shown, with the price per 100 g worked out from each business's own product page, but not scored.

How we ranked these

Every business is scored on the same criteria, with the evidence logged. Being sponsored does not change a score.

Place 1 is a sponsored place and is labelled. The ranking by score starts at place 2.

Fitri Creations Pte Ltd, registered on ACRA in November 2016, runs a bakery at Sun Natura, 361 Sembawang Crescent, which SFA lists as a licensed bakery. It describes itself as a halal, Muslim-owned bakery, though we did not check a halal certificate. Its Pistachio Kunafa Chocolate Bar weighs 220 g and costs S$25, which works out to S$11.36 per 100 g, the lowest in this guide. The product page says the bars are made fresh daily and offers islandwide delivery or self-collection. Its Google listing shows 4.4 from 236 reviews. We found no refund or replacement policy for bakery orders, and nothing given free. It is a general bakery, so the bar sits alongside cakes, cupcakes and kunafa pastries.

What stands out

  • + The lowest price per 100 g here: S$25 for 220 g
  • + Bars made fresh daily, by its own account
  • + Describes itself as a halal, Muslim-owned bakery
  • + Walk-in bakery in Sembawang, open daily

Worth knowing

  • - No refund, return or replacement policy published for bakery orders
  • - We could not check a halal certificate
  • - A general bakery: the Dubai bar is one product among cakes and pastries

Price per 100 g

The four bars are not the same size, so the sticker price misleads. Worked out from each business's own product page on 14 October 2026:

Bar Weight Price Per 100 g
Fitri Creations Pistachio Kunafa Chocolate Bar 220 g S$25 S$11.36
CHOCOELF Pistachio Kunafa chocolate 210 g S$25 S$11.90
Mr. Bucket Dubai Pistachio Kunafa Filled Bar 128 g S$25 S$19.53
Laurent Bernard Kunafa Pistachio Chocolate Bar 100 g S$22 S$22.00

How to choose

The kunafa is the point of the bar, and it goes soft with time, so freshness matters more than with plain chocolate. CHOCOELF and Fitri Creations both say they make their bars fresh. If you want more than pistachio, CHOCOELF is the only one here with other flavours (peanut butter, speculoos and mint, though two were sold out on the day we looked). If you need it today, Laurent Bernard delivers the same day for orders placed before 2pm.

None of the four promises in writing to replace a bar that arrives damaged or melted, so check your order on arrival and photograph any damage straight away. Laurent Bernard will swap a damaged item with the driver at the door.

Two names you may see elsewhere are not scored here. Nova Bakehouse sold kunafa bars online, but its shop says it is closed for now. Queic by Olivia sells a Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake Bar, which is a cheesecake rather than a chocolate bar.

Questions people ask

What is Dubai chocolate?

A thick chocolate bar filled with shredded kunafa (kataifi) pastry toasted in butter and mixed with pistachio cream. It went viral in 2024 and is now made by several businesses in Singapore, alongside imported versions.

Where can I buy Dubai chocolate made in Singapore?

From CHOCOELF (Chinatown cafe and online), Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie (Dempsey and online), Laurent Bernard (online, with collection at MacTaggart Road) and Fitri Creations (Sembawang and online). All four were selling a Dubai-style bar on 14 October 2026.

Is there halal Dubai chocolate in Singapore?

Fitri Creations describes itself as a halal, Muslim-owned bakery. We did not check a halal certificate, so ask the business for its MUIS certificate if you need one. CHOCOELF's product page says no pork and no lard, which is not the same as halal certification.

How are the bars in this guide scored?

Each business is scored on what it puts in writing about damaged or wrong orders, its Google reviews, free extras and its food licence, using the weights on our How we rank page. Sponsored places are listed first and labelled, and being sponsored never changes a score.
